Void an Invoice

You can void an invoice up until a payment has been made and applied to that invoice. Voiding an invoice preserves a record of the invoice for auditing purposes and does not fully delete it from the system. It also locks the invoice against further edits or payments.

Steps

  1. Open the application you want to edit the invoice for. If you don't know the application, you can find the invoice in the Billing section.

  2. At the top of the application, select the Billing tab. If you don't see the row of tabs, make sure you're at the top of the application or select Application Review from the Application Tools menu.

  3. Click the Edit icon for the invoice you want to activate.

  4. In the top right of the screen, click the Void button.

  5. In the pop-up window, enter the Reason for voiding the invoice and click Void Invoice.

  6. The invoice will remain in the Billing tab, but will have a status of Void.
