Record a Payment Refund

You can use Eproval to record any refunds you make.

Steps

  1. Open the application with the invoice you want to refund the payment for. If you don't know the application, you can find the invoice in the Billing section.

  2. At the top of the application, select the Billing tab. If you don't see the row of tabs, make sure you're at the top of the application or select Application Review from the Application Tools menu.

  3. Click the Edit icon for the invoice you want to apply the refund to.

  4. Click the Refund button in the top right.

  5. Complete the information in the Refund popup window.

    • Select the Refund option.

    • Enter the Billing Name for the person that made the payment to be refunded.

    • Enter the Refund Amount. It can be a full or partial amount.

    • Select the Refund Date using the calendar.

    • Select the Refund Method that reflects how you will refund the payment (for example, a check or cash).

    • Optionally, you can add a Transaction # to the refund record.

    • You can also optionally add Notes to describe the reason for the refund or any additional information.

  6. Click Refund.
