Pre-Set vs. Scheduled Email Notifications
Eproval offers two different ways in which you can deliver automatic email notification to other Eproval users: Pre-Set and Scheduled Email Notifications. Pre-Set Notification are standard for all Eproval customers, whicle Schedule Notifications require an Add-On Module.
Pre-Set Email Notifications
Pre-Set Email Notifications are available to all Eproval customers by default - no Add-On Modules are necessary. Pre-Set Notifications automatically send emails to specific Eproval users based on activity that occurs in an Application. For example, email notifications will go out to applicable reviewers when an application is set to Under Review. Or a notification will go out to an applicant when they submit an application.
These notifications are predefined in Eproval and will always be sent based on the same criteria; new Pre-Set Notification cannot be added. However, while the criteria for sending the notification can't be changed, the content and recipients of the emails can be edited.
See the Edit a Pre-Set Email Notification article for instructions on how to modify the recipients and content of a Pre-Set Email Notification.
Scheduled Email Notifications
Scheduled Email Notifications are available as an Add-On Module. These notifications can be sent to recipients based on a specific set of criteria that are defined by a Permit Manager or Administrator. For example, an email could get sent to an applicant a set number of days after an event has concluded, or a review reminder could go out to reviewers a set number of days before a deadline.
With the Scheduled Notification add-on module, you can create as many Scheduled Email Notification as you like - there's no limit. You can also edit to change the criteria, recipients, and the content of the notifications.
See the Add or Edit a Scheduled Email Notification article for instructions on managing Scheduled Email Notifications.
