Manually Add an Event to a Calendar

Eproval’s Calendar Module dynamically populates event details into an electronic calendar. However, you can also manually add events to your calendar so that the public can see and access information about those events.

Steps

  1. Go to Tools > Configuration.

  2. Calendars are specific to each application type; depending on your setup, you may have more than one application type listed. Scroll down to the application type you want to modify the calendar for, and click Calendar.

  3. On the Calendar Entry column, complete the information about the event you want to add:

    • ID: This gets created automatically for any new events. Existing events will have an ID.

    • Enabled: Determines whether your event is active and will be displayed on the calendar. Choose Yes to have the event displayed.

    • Multiday: Choose Yes if your event spans multiple days. The event will display on each day on the calendar.

    • Title: Enter a descriptive name for the event.

    • Start Date/Start Time: The date and time the event starts.

    • End Date/End Time: The date and time the event ends. If your event is a single day event, then the end date will be the same as the start date.

    • Status: Enter the current application status for the event. If the status changes, you'll need to manually update this.

    • Website: A link to the event's website.

    • Category: Enter the permit category for the event.

    • Description: Enter a brief description of the event.

    • Contact Information: Enter the contact information for the event's hosting organization and their main contact.

  4. Once you've completed the information, click Submit.

  5. The event will now appear in the calendar for the specified dates.
