Have a Different User Pay an Invoice

If the Billing feature in Eproval is used by your public agency, applicants are able to pay invoices that are generated for payments associated with an application. Usually, this payment is made by the user directly associated with the applicant account by navigating to the invoice and applying a payment.

However, it is possible to have a different Eproval user pay an invoice by emailing them the invoice, which contains a link they can use to make the payment.

Steps

  1. Open the application that has the Active invoice that you want to send to a different user for payment. The invoice can't be in a Draft status.

  2. Click the Billing tab to open the list of available invoices.

  3. Click the Edit icon beside the invoice you want to send for payment.

  4. When the invoice opens, click the Email icon from the top row of icons.

Buttons in the top right of the invoice with the email icon highlighted.
  5. Complete the information in the Send Invoice popup window.

    • Update the Recipient Email. By default, it will display the applicant's email, but you can change that or add additional emails. Note: To pay an invoice, the email recipient must have a valid Applicant Account of their own.

    • Separate additional emails by a comma.

    • Adding a message for the recipient is optional. However, when sending an invoice to a different user to pay, you may want to include context.

  6. Click Send Invoice.
