Edit a Static Content Page

Eproval comes with a number of predefined Content Pages that display in areas like the Login and Account Registration screens that you can edit and customize to your needs. You may have also created content pages of your own that you want to update, or pages may have been added during onboarding.

The predefined pages are listed under System Content on the setup page, and the pages you created or were created during onboarding are listed under Additional Pages. For all pages, you can update the Page Title and the Page Content. However, you can only update the Page URL for pages you create yourself.

Steps

  1. Go to Tools > Configuration.

  2. Under System Setup, click Content.

Shows the location of the Content button under the System Setup section heading
  3. From the left side, click the name of the page you want to edit.

  4. If you selected a page you created to edit, you can change the URL, which is done by editing the Page Slug field (you can't actually edit the Page URL field directly, even for Additional Pages). This field still needs to be unique. As you change the Page Slug field, you'll notice that the Page URL field changes to match.

  5. When you change the Page Title, you change the text that displays at the very top of the page, just below the Menu text.

Shows the position of the Page Title right at the top of the page and just below the Menu text.
  6. Under the Page Content field, you'll see a Web Editor (text box) with the available formatting options and any text already listed.

  7. The Formatting option available are:

    • a: Style (lets you change text into a Heading style or Normal text)

    • b: Bold

    • c: Italicize

    • d: Remove Font Style (takes any selected text back to the Normal style)

    • e: Bulleted List

    • f: Numbered List

    • g: Paragraph (lets you justify, center, or indent text)

    • h: Table

    • i: Link (to link to a webpage or downloadable document)

    • j: Horizontal Line (to separate text sections)

    • k: Full Page (not recommended, see option "n" below instead)

    • l: Code View (advanced only, will display the HTML code)

    • m: Help (keyboard shortcuts)

    • n: Drag to expand the web editor window size

  8. Type directly into the web editor to enter text. Do Not copy and paste from another application, like Microsoft Word. If you need to copy and paste large blocks of text, and are an advanced computer user, follow the instructions in the Edit Grey Box Text - Advanced article. The same concepts and steps apply to Static Content pages.

  9. To format the text, highlight the text and then click the desired button.
Note: When you click the Link button, you'll be asked to enter a destination URL. This URL must start with http:// or https:// or the link will not work.

Shows the proper format for web links using http:// or https://
  10. Once you're done making your changes, click Save Content.
