Application Section (Step) Status vs. Overall Application Status
Eproval makes it extremely easy to view and understand the status of not only the overall application, but also the status of the individual sections within the application that need to be reviewed by you and other reviewers.
For every application, there are two types of statuses that are tracked and displayed. First, there is the Overall status of an application. This is generally managed by the permit manager, based on the completeness of the application, completeness of the reviews, and the outcome of the reviews.
Second are the individual statuses of the sections (sometimes referred to as "steps") the reviewers are responsible for. And because each section can have multiple reviewers, each section can also have multiple statuses, one for each reviewer.
For example, the Food Services section may have three reviewers. The first reviewer may not have started, the second reviewer may have already approved it, and the third may have just started their review. Eproval displays the status of all three so you can easily determine where an application is at in the review process, and what still needs to be done.
Statuses are displayed on your Dashboard and in the individual applications. For the most part, the statuses for for the Overall Application and for the Application Sections are the same. However, there are some differences. For an explanation of each, see one of the following articles:
