Adjust the Fee Amount on an Invoice Template

When you create an invoice, it uses the fees tied to the Items that are defined in the Invoice's Template. If you want to adjust the fees so that they are different going forward, you can do so by updating the template.

This will only impact invoices created with the updated template going forward. Existing invoices will not change unless you manually remove and replace an item.

Steps

  1. Go to Tools > Billing.

  2. Templates are specific to an Application Type. Find the Application Type you want to update the template for and click Billing.

  3. Choose the Select a Template dropdown menu and choose the Template you want to update. Depending on your setup, there could be multiple templates listed.

  4. All Items are listed, along with the corresponding GL Code, Price, and applicable Taxes. Locate the Item you want to update, and click in the Price column to make it editable.

  5. Update the fee to the desired amount.

  6. The template autosaves as you make adjustments. Once complete, go to the top of the page and make sure the template is toggled to Active.

    Shows that the template is toggled to Yes to indicate it's active.
